"I've always admired the works of the greats like Jacques-Louis David and Vincent van Gogh. Their masterpieces, however, are slightly out of reach unless you're lucky enough to have a grandfather who owns a bank. Luckily, this painting offers a clever twist on the unattainable. Gifted to me by Jeffrey Koh of Flabslab, it is a playful spoof on Van Gogh's iconic self-portrait, featuring none other than Singapore's visionary leader, Lee Kuan Yew. It merges Van Gogh's expressive strokes with the resolute spirit of Lee Kuan Yew, making it a standout piece in my collection."
